Happy St. Patrick's Day

My St. Patrick's Day has been a wash.

It started at 4:30 am with a resdient pounding on the door. A pipe borke in her bathroom and there was a lot of water involved. You see, we are having tons of work done in our building. The contractors are short on workmanship. Almost all the new bathroom vanitys they have put in have leaked. By leaked I mean flooded bathrooms.

5:30 am: Getting ready for work. Harry comes out to tell me he isn't going in. He cought the cold I had. So has Conner. So both of my boys were home, sick and miserable.

6:40 am: At work almost an hour early to make the room seem as if Shamus O'Leprechaun had visited. Gold glitter all over, messed up room. Really getting in to it! Opened the big closet. MOUSE POOP ALL OVER. A mouse had gotten into grass seed. So let me correct that, grass seed and mouse poop everwhere! Later in the day, as I was vacuuming said seed and poop one of the kids asked if the leprechaun had done that, too.....

7:30 am: Secretary didn't get copy of permission slip for Clown show on Wednesday. I sent it two weeks previous.

10:00 am: Green paint on my Irish and proud of it shirt.

11:30 am: realized my Lean Cuisine pizza was not babeque chicken, it was gourmet mushroom. It was nasty.

2:15 pm: Infant in baby room has a temp of 106. The teacher didn't have a clue. Had to call an ambulance.

3:30 end of my day! That was the best part. When I get home Conner is super mad a t me for some two year old reason. I sit by Harry and Conner pushes me away. So no love from the boy and no love from the daddy.

tomorrow has to be better.

No fun to drink alone!

Happy Birthday JP.

PS no pictures....camera missing as of Saturday! Oh Conner........

Life of Pi

Interesting read...not what I expected. Not my usual. I had to look up three words in the dictionary tonight. Avatar, minarets and muezzin.

Great thoughts on religion...
"All religions are true, they just want to love God."
"It is on the inside that God must be defended, not on the outside."
"The individual soul touches on the world soul like a well reaches for the water table."

Hmmmmm.

Dreaming of a white christmas

Conner had a great time playing in all the snow. It was a great day for a snow day. Even if I was ready to go by the time they called the day. Oh well after a few people called I managed to go back to sleep until 9:00.

The first snow of the season was on the night of the Christmas parade. Conner loved throwing snowballs but they kept getting stuck on his gloves.
Snow angels !
Yikes! We look like an add for Columbia! The parade was a lot of fun. Conner was so excited to see Santa. He told him that mommy has been good this year.
