Conner's First Halloween

Halloween was great. MY day started out with 23 preschoolers costumed and ready to party. I was Cruella DeVille and my assistant was a dalmation. We won the adult costume constest. The prize was a dance on piano, like the one in Big, for our room. The kids were very excited. I am waiting for a parent to send those pictures to me.

Conner's bee costume was too small for the big day. I am glad we tried it on Sunday night. Not too many choices the night before Halloween. Skeleton or cow. If you know me you know what he was.

We spent the evening at Aunt Debbie's and Uncle Ski's. Fire pit on the drive, wine in the glass great food, tons of fun. Next year we'll actually trick or treat.

YIKES......scary mommy costume!

Dear Santa

Harry's parents and my mom were in town for the weekend. It was a quick trip but they were so happy to see Conner. He was in rare form. Entertaining everyone. Fun was had by all.

Little man is sick. Saturday he was a little whiney, drooling and running a low temp. Tooth number 9 we thhought. NOOOOOO. We took him to urgent care this afternoon, to rule out an ear infection. We did. He has hand, foot and mouth virus. It causes little sores on his hands feet and in his mouth. Ouch. No treatment, just let it run its course. Poor guy is drooling buckets. Just another downfall to child care. Once again, I need to be independently wealthy.

We went to look at quadrunners and snowmobiles. We should have gone to look at new cars. Oh well soon enough.

GO TIGERS!!!!

Conner adding to his Christmas wish list.
Thank goodness he has to be at least 6 before he can ride, even the minis.

The recliner is more the speed Mama is looking for.

Now dad's wish list..........

Conner is 9 months old

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby

It amazes me how fast the is flying by. The wonder premie is just about caught up. Body stats have never been an issue. He is the largest premie I've seen.

He is starting to crawl. He looks like a sidewinder snake, but he gets the job done.

Solid foods still pose a problem. His trachea is hardening well, but still not where it should be, which makes him gag a lot. Slow but sure.

The baby that slept through the night from 3 months until 81/2 months......He is up once a night now. Just wanting to know we are around, and if there is a cozy spot between us, for him. Just for a few minutes. BAD HABIT.

The big one will be here before we know it. Plans are under way......

GO TIGERS.

More recent Pictures

Blogger stinks! I can't add more pictures right now. I will add more over the weekend....check back. Hey and this time say Hi. Especially all the people that look all the time and I am not sure who you are. ie New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Even the people that I know who you are...New Hampshire, Mansfield Ohio. Say hi anyway.

Update

Holy mackrel it has been a long time since I updated. Harry and I have been so busy. Coinstar keeps expanding and Harry is working longer hours. My asistant and I spent three weeks settting up our new classroom. Then the fun began. We average 22 children each day all between the age of 3-5. Mostly 3 year olds and a lot that are not potty trained yet. Thank goodenss for our own bathroon. We are having a ball. I am exhausted when I get home though.

Conner continues to amaze us. He is getting too big. He has the greatest nasaly belly laugh. He has 4 teeth on top and two on bottom. The big gappy kind on top. I didn't think the smile could make me melt any more than it already did, but the teeth set me over the top. He is starting to show a little interest in crawling, but really wants to walk. He pulls himself up and will take steps holding our hands. Yikes. I know some old ladies that will be in serious trouble when our little shaver starts to walk

Our Busy Week

It has been a busy week. We finally did some cleaning. You can walk through the living room and not suffer bodily damage. Birthday party and baby shower weekend. I love when my mom comes to visit. Bonus when Julie comes too.

The baby shower was fun. Cousin Roni has a beautiful house. Motivates me to organize more and downsize the excess. New Cousin Luke is due September 17. Speedy delivery Vicki. I was 1 m&m short of an exact guess, in the baby bottle game. The bottle held 284, I guessed 283. My expertise in m&ms has finally paid off.

Could there be a new job in my future? A lot on my mind tonight. I am hoping for divine intervention in the decision making. Good thoughts my way.
a smile for the week.

I Love This Kid

Conner made Harry and I laugh tonight. He is really developing his personality. He already has that "Best" sense of humor. Tonight, Harry was getting him ready for bed. He already had a bottle and Harry was laying with him in his arms, shh shh shhing him. Everytime Harry would shh him Conner would shake his head no and laugh. I happened apon the situation and cracked up. Which made Conner laugh harder. Poor Harry! Bedtime took a lot longer than usual.

Conner broke through another tooth this weekend. Now he has one on the top and one on the bottom. The bottom one has been waiting for a friend for two and a half months. Does this mean I have to start brushing his teeth?

Some recent pics.

Battling the heat with a dip at Uncle Bud's and Aunt Candy's pool. Male bonding at it's best, with big cousin Anthony.

Loving the exersaucer fun.

Already borrowing Dad's things.

M....baby toes. Look he has "Best" legs.

Catching Up

We have been in a rut lately. Work, work, work. Then home to relax in the AC. It has been ugly hot and humid here this summer. I walk with my camp kids to our high school pool Monday thru Thursday. It is about a mile trek there. When it is in the 90s and the heat index feels like 100, it can be a BIT frightful. We then frolic and play in the pool for an hour and a half. Then the return trip. Now with all this forced exercise you would think that I would have turned into a runway model by now (humor me). The problem. When we get back to camp I am RAVENOUS. Unfortunately the vending machine sells junk instead of carrrots. I need a bigger lunch box and some nice person to grocery shop for me.

Enough about ME. Bud, Conner and I went to Beema's last weekend for a birthday party. Happy 30th birthday Travis. Beema came back with us and spent the week with us. It was great having her here. I love coming home to dinner. Her rice balls rock. Harry, Conner and I took her home, this weekend. Conner has been teething, and was running a low temp. We packed the tylenol and motrin and were on our way. Saturday morning the temp was no longer low. He was frying 103 after tylenol. Off to the emergency room we went. His first ear infection. Poor guy. He is feeling much better. He has slept most of the day away. Except for the three hour trip home!

All in all it was good to get away from the city. We all enjoyed Beema's new swing that Bud and I got her for her birthday.

He finally did it. He is rolling over! I was in the kitchen, came back out and thought, I didn't put him on his stomach. On no crawling next!

Swim Lessons

Harry and I decided it would be a good idea for Conner to take a swim class. So away we went. The first session of the summer had 15 babies. The second session, that we took, has only one. Conner. Harry will usually take him on Tuesday and Thursday, since I spend an hour and a half in the very same pool four days a week. I love to sit on the side with my feet dangling int he water and watch.
Conner really loves it. He seems very at ease in the water. Olympic swim team dreams for the mommy!

Conner's Playground

We have a great little playground right next to our building. Conner finally holds his head up enough for the swings. This was his first trip the playground. He loved it, laughing out loud as we pushed him on the swings. He looks like baby Bob fromt he Quiznos commercials. I keep expecting him to start telling us about subs!

Celebrating the Fourth

Conner cooling off in Uncle Bud's pool. His first swim. He loved it!

Wow a picture with Mama! Gotta love the flag swimsuit, it even matches Daddy's.

I think that the hat, sunglasses and spf 50 are enough protection Dad!

Aunt Candy gets a VERY big hug and kiss.

I took these pictures from our bedroom window!
Every town in the area does fireworks a different week. We usually go on the roof to watch. I thought that 15 floors up was a little too much for Conner.

We shut the lights out, opened the blinds and watched the show from Red Run Golf Course.

I hope everyone had a happy fourth!

Meela's Wedding

blogger drives me crazy!

I'll have to add the other pictures in another post. I can't add more than three pictures at a time or it causes an error and shuts down. If I save as a draft it won't let me add anymore pictures. Carzy. I think it hates me!

ON WITH THE BLOG

Meela and Jeff were married on June 17th. Easily the largest wedding that I have been to. 560 people! It was wild....four flower girls and 19 bridesmaids. Isabel was the most adorable flower girl ever. All and all it was great to see everyone. Fun was had by all! The best part.....I didn't have a hangover!

Pat and Jody surprised us. It was a great! Even if I guessed it before the wedding!
