Thanksgiving
We had a nice Thanksgiving. We had been at Beema's for funeral early in the week, so we at least got to spend some time with her. We spent Thanksgiving day with the Flynn/Dzwigalski families. Always fun. We shopped early on Black Friday. I was amazed at how friendly everybody was. A shout out to Kohl's Department Store. Their staff was so helpful and nice and all in good humor.
We unpacked all the Christmas decorations on Sunday morning, but just didn't have enough ambition to start putting them up. That will give us something to do after work this week!
Sunday night we went to the D's. Debbie Krysten and I painted 60 snowman jars. They are very cute. The boys played and watched the monster truck marathon. At the end of the evening it began to snow. The first real snow we have had. It was beautiful. Conner didn't know what to think. No buildup to play in however. Back to work this week!

Here we go again
I noticed that Conner had a lot of icky drainage from his left ear. Off to the Doctor he went. His tube had come out, and he had an ear infection. The doctor gave him amoxacillian. Today, he had dried blood in is ear. Off to the Doctor we go again! The infection perforated his ear drum. To the E.N.T. next week.
His ped is afraid he may have some permanant hearing loss. His eardrum looked pretty beat up. He just had tubes put in in April, his checkup wasn't even supposed to be until January. So fun.

Halloween Fun
Halloween is always fun. We had our annual pumpkin carving evening eith the Dzw. family. We only had a small pumpkin-gut fight.
We had a costume change of plans. We were going to be the Frankenstein Family, but Conner hated his costume. When we tried it on him, he screamed. Oh well, we got out of dressing up. We saw his costume at Tj Maxx. He pulled it off the rack and carried it around the store. Sold.
Good friends and good memories.

Auntie Krysten before being splatted with pumpkin...Shhh Debbie wasn't looking.

Conner had a great time stabbing the pumpkin with the design pokers. The insides were another story.

Yes I even carved a Thomas pumpkin.

Hey Nancy- Have you seen this costume before?

Checking our his loot!
One tired tank engine.
A Harold the Helicopter sighting.
Grammy Pero came the morning after Halloween. We will have lots of pics from the weekend. She was loaded down with toys for the boy. His favorite was the John Deere digger. We left a lot packed for Christmas.
Big Cousin time. Just a little hero worship.

Apple Picking
We had the brilliant idea to go apple picking! What's wrong with that you ask? Well we were having a fall heat wave. It was 93 degrees the day we went. It would have been fun if we weren't sweating our butts off. It made the beer taste even better! Conner thought they were balls at first and had a really good time throwing them to everyone.

Way up high to get the apples at the top.

The Golden family...yeah right

I found one...catch!

My first pick
NO! We have to go pumpkin picking?

Hey who's the old guy?
Pre school home schooling is paying off... he can read!
Can you find all three Nike hats?

Aunt Debbie, can we go home now?
There were ten in the bed and the little one said move over...
I woke up at the lovely hour of 5:00 am with a dog, two cats and Harry, all on my side of the bed.
Homer is visiting and likes to sleep with someone, the cats always sleep by me and as for Harry he is going to be sleeping in Conner's room if he doesn't move his butt over.
I need a nap!

Pay day Friday
On the Fridays we get paid a small group of us go to Debbie's hosue for cocktails. This week the group expanded. It was nice to see some of the staff that were moved to other schools when Avery restructured. Lots of laugh and lots of wine.
Harry usually brings Conner over and we order in for dinner. It was a warm night. Katy, Grandpa, Harry and Conner played in the yard until the mosquitos attacked.
Thank you for the great pictures, Katy.
upside down smoochie is Daddy'd favorite!
The light at the end of the tunnel
I am always amazed at ow long conner's legs are! My boys.

How we are spending our time
Never a dull moment. My days are starting at the unholy time of 5:00 am. Anyone that knows me knows that IAMNOTAMORNINGPERSON! So 5:00 is painful. I get ready and get the three of us out the door before 6:30. Harry rolls out of bed at 6:20 and is ready for the day. MEN! The nice part is that my day ends at 3:30. We have a lot of time in the afternoon to hangout and have fun. I actually get to make great dinners again, instead of boxed and frozen fare.
Anthony is playing football, so we spend out Thursdays at games. We are all about the football!! Hey the Lions have won their first two games! NUFF SAID!
I've been spring cleaning for the past two weekends. One trip to Ikea for toy storage. I love Ikea. Cleaning closets, washing walls and hauling out clothes that I just don't need. Our building is getting new kitchens, carpeting and paint. The less we have to move around the better. I am just rambling now so check out our month in pics.
Conner enjoys the football games. He likes the confetti and having lots of people to read Thomas to him.
Bud, being the Dad. I swear I got a glimpse of our Dad, from when he would watch Bud play.
By the end of the game Conner looked like a cupcake. We found confetti everywhere.
#74 Anthony H.B.
Harry brought Conner to visit the big kids in my room. He was sticking his finger in the water fawcet and spraying the kids. Fun for all.
The fish was this big.............
Can you guess what Conner did? Our first try was a success!

Summer Fun
It's hard to believe that our summer has come to a screeching halt. The first full day of school is Tuesday. Summer camp and forced exercise is over. GAWDDDDD I have to actually motivate myself.
Football season is underway! Anthony plays for the first time this week. We can hardly wait. He missed the first two games. He got his toe stuck between the sprocket and the chain on his bike. The 15 stitches are out, and he is clear to play.
These are the last of the summer pics. Time with Beema, Meijer Garden and just hanging out. Have a great Labor Day!
The last Dr visit until Conner is 2 years old. 38 inches tall and 32 pounds!

New jammies from Grammy Pero...can't wait until you visit in November.

adventures in self feeding, with utensils!

any excuse to not do laundry.
orchids at Meijer Garden.
CP loved the sensory garden.
Beema had fun at the tea party!
I enjoyed all the interesting flowers!!
Harry liked having some time off.
It was cool, the way the sun shines across Dad's and Tim's name on their memorial brick.
no wonder my glasses were never in my backpack for camp.
lots of time with Beema this summer. I think Conner likes her.
Kiddie pool with a view.
