2 month check up

Conner had his two month check up this week. Two weeks late. He is speeding along the growth chart.

weight 14 lb 3 oz
length 25.5 inches
head 16.25 inches

all are 90-95th percentile. We must be doing something right.

I still have major concerns about his breathing. The doctor isn't worried. My fear is that it will affect him later, and hinder his activity level. The doctor said we will start to see more improvement by the time he is six months. He say if we were concerned that we could make an appoinment with the pulminary clinic at Children's Hospital in Detroit. I don't see why not. What harm can it do?

Finally

Finally a few minutes for a post.

We had a great weekend with Beema. Our little leprechaun was dressed in green from head to toe in honor of St. Patrick's Day (and Jessica's birthday). He is such a good baby, he slept the whole trip up and back, (3 hours each way). So did Mommy!

Firday was fish dinner at The Buffalo Inn. The first of many for Conner, I 'm sure. Saturday we shopped in the morning and a big spaghetti and meatball dinner at Beema's with Aunt Marie, Uncle Lou and the Conner's. It was yummy. Saturday night, Conner's Godmother Angie came over with her sweeties Cade and Landry. Uncle Travis was off playing with his truck. Boo Hoo Sunday came too soon and we had to head home. I get to go back on Saturday with my friend Mindyand of course Conner. Poor Harry will be without his buddy overnight.
Dinner at the Buff. No green beer for Mom this year.

Cade, Landry and Auntie Angie.

Bye Beema, see you next week.

knock knock

Who's there? I've heard a couple times this week that people are looking but nobody is commenting. Well not everyone....thanks B.

Let us know you're out there.

The First Week

I have made it through the first week, back to work, almost. I have to admit that I still love my job. I already have a day off scheduled next week.

If we don't put Conner in child care next week we will lose our spot. So we are going to give it a shot. So back full time next week. Conner will be in the baby room around the corner. He will be there for about four hours a day. I cried all the way to work today after we decided. I'm not worried about him, I am worried about me. I am so scared that he will forget me during the day or somhow love me less. Motherhood makes you crazy.

Back to Work

Tomorrow I go back to work, part time. BooHoo. I am so depressed. I used to love my job. I probably still do. But, I really love staying home with Conner, taking care of him. I am only going to work for four hours a day from 2-6. Not too bad.
Conner is hanging with some friends, Aunt Candy or some of the ladies from the building until Harry gets home each day. Probably two hours a day or so. I want to wait until he is three months before he comes with me. He will be in the baby room down the hall. I just want to give him four more weeks to build up his immune system and get past cold and flu season.
So wish me luck. I'll try hard to not cry all afternoon.

HAPPY BABY

Just a couple of my favorite pictures. Conner is smiling so much now. We have even gotten a laugh or two.

Harry's Family Comes to Visit

Everyone took turns getting to know Conner. It was nice. He is the first grandchild in Harry's family. The only time he wasn't held the entire four days was at night. Did you know that when baby's don't get enough exercise it leads to constipation? That is a whole different post!
