Conner's One Month Check Up

Our baby is getting so big! He feels bigger each time I pick him up. His looks are changing, his hair is coming thick and dark, his cheeks are chubby and I love the big, deep blue eyes.

We had his one month check up. No shots yet. He wasn't feeling so hot. So the doctor wanted to wait. Here are the vitals.

  • weight-12 lb 3 oz
  • length-23.5 inches
  • head size-41 cm

all were over the 95th percentile.

Trying to catch up with my life. I am just finishing up 30+ awards books for our district Founder's Day awards ceremony, recovering from the weekend at mom's with Harry's family. I haven't even unpacked yet and I am due to go back this weekend.

It is always good to spend time with Beema and so hard to leave on Monday. It was a particularily tough weekend. We (Harry's mom, dad, brother, Harry, Conner and I) arrived t my mom's Friday afternoon. She had no electricity. There had been an ice storm and somebody took out a pole and lines. Harry, his dad and Joe set up the two generators so we had heat and water. They also had to hook up the sump pump in the basement to drain the water. What a mess. The power came back on Saturday night. The icy trees and landscape were beautiful under the sun on Saturday. Unfortunately it was in the teens. Brrrrr.

Here are a few pics I will post more from the weekend when I unpack the camera.

Conner loves to roll on his side and look at the toys on his mat.

Not so thrilled with Mom's new comforter!

My boy's were passed out when I came home from PTA.

My Bad Attitude

Due to other people's screw ups I have had to be at work for the last three days. It really stinks. My classroom needed to be moved. Long story. The principal from my school calls last week to drop that bomb on me. I was so aggrivated to be bothered with this during my maternity leave. Especially since they have known this would be necessary since OCTOBER. Whatever. My thought that is if I have to be at work this week, my maternity leave just extended itself by another week. If I could think of a financially viable way I would quit tomorrow. Hmm I wonder what I could do to get fired this week. I am enjoying being home with my little sweetheart way too much.
