Catching Up

We have been in a rut lately. Work, work, work. Then home to relax in the AC. It has been ugly hot and humid here this summer. I walk with my camp kids to our high school pool Monday thru Thursday. It is about a mile trek there. When it is in the 90s and the heat index feels like 100, it can be a BIT frightful. We then frolic and play in the pool for an hour and a half. Then the return trip. Now with all this forced exercise you would think that I would have turned into a runway model by now (humor me). The problem. When we get back to camp I am RAVENOUS. Unfortunately the vending machine sells junk instead of carrrots. I need a bigger lunch box and some nice person to grocery shop for me.

Enough about ME. Bud, Conner and I went to Beema's last weekend for a birthday party. Happy 30th birthday Travis. Beema came back with us and spent the week with us. It was great having her here. I love coming home to dinner. Her rice balls rock. Harry, Conner and I took her home, this weekend. Conner has been teething, and was running a low temp. We packed the tylenol and motrin and were on our way. Saturday morning the temp was no longer low. He was frying 103 after tylenol. Off to the emergency room we went. His first ear infection. Poor guy. He is feeling much better. He has slept most of the day away. Except for the three hour trip home!

All in all it was good to get away from the city. We all enjoyed Beema's new swing that Bud and I got her for her birthday.

He finally did it. He is rolling over! I was in the kitchen, came back out and thought, I didn't put him on his stomach. On no crawling next!

Swim Lessons

Harry and I decided it would be a good idea for Conner to take a swim class. So away we went. The first session of the summer had 15 babies. The second session, that we took, has only one. Conner. Harry will usually take him on Tuesday and Thursday, since I spend an hour and a half in the very same pool four days a week. I love to sit on the side with my feet dangling int he water and watch.
Conner really loves it. He seems very at ease in the water. Olympic swim team dreams for the mommy!

The wipers on the bus go swish swish swish.

"Dad, can I hold the beard...just in case?"

"Hi Mama."

Who is the big boy, and where is my BABY?

Conner's Playground

We have a great little playground right next to our building. Conner finally holds his head up enough for the swings. This was his first trip the playground. He loved it, laughing out loud as we pushed him on the swings. He looks like baby Bob fromt he Quiznos commercials. I keep expecting him to start telling us about subs!

Celebrating the Fourth

Conner cooling off in Uncle Bud's pool. His first swim. He loved it!

Wow a picture with Mama! Gotta love the flag swimsuit, it even matches Daddy's.

I think that the hat, sunglasses and spf 50 are enough protection Dad!

Aunt Candy gets a VERY big hug and kiss.

I took these pictures from our bedroom window!
Every town in the area does fireworks a different week. We usually go on the roof to watch. I thought that 15 floors up was a little too much for Conner.

We shut the lights out, opened the blinds and watched the show from Red Run Golf Course.

I hope everyone had a happy fourth!
