Some pictures from the week

It has been a great week! Beema has been here for entertainment. We have gone out for lunch, been shopping and entertained company all week. The little man has been a trooper. He is so laid back and calm. My mom even ran the vacuum right next to where he was sleeping. He barely stirred and never woke up. Of course I was worried he couldn't hear! Then I remembered the hearing test in the hospital. I fall a little more in love with him everyday.
He looks like Daddy!

Dinner With The Dzwigalski Family

Last night we went to our friends house for dinner. Debbie, Ski, Kati Krysten and Kati's boyfriend Phil were in for the fun.

Harry thought that we should bring the portable swing. I laughed. The girls were fighting over who got to hold him next.

We are pretty sure Ski is talking golf with Conner. Never too soon to work on the swing.

Thank you Sullivan Family

Thank you, Brenda, Eric, Paige, Cole and Caroline. I love the new clothes! Even my doctor thought it was cute. My mom and dad just loved the matching socks. Can't wait to meet you!

I need some sleep

One tired mommy. Trying to establish some sort of routine is one thing, but three doctor appointments and a midnight run to the emergency room is another. Conner's bilirubin levels(jaundice) had risen after his first doctor appoinment. Unfortunately the doctor didn't get the test results back until close to midnight. So he sent us to the emergency room for another blood test. His levels had already begun to drop from the light therapy we were doing at home. All is well and we are slowly catching up on our sleep. Now if we find a fix for being hungry ever hour and a half we will be cruising.

Our First Day at Home

We survived the first 24 hours! I am still a little amazed at that. We had a small fire in the building last night, on the 3rd floor. Fire alarms going off all over the building! Me being the calm cool collected person that I am had him in the car seat and on my way to the car, before Harry came in. We have fire walls in each apartment, it is extremely difficult for a fire to spread to another apartment. So much for not being a neurotic mother.

After visiting with Aunt Candy, Cousins Dennis, Judi and Brian the guys napped.

Conner is home

Passed the car seat test without even waking up!

Conner makes phototherapy look like aday at the beach. Cool glasses, dude!

Baby Conner came home today! It has been a roller coaster week. Five days at the hospital!
What fun. He had a lot of fluid in in his lungs when he was born needed lots of extra care and oxygen. Then he was jaundiced and needed photo therapy. He had to wear little velcro sunglasses. He was such a trooper. All is well and we are home adjusting. Harry already got pooped on, BIG TIME.

Baby Conner was moved to the NICU for monitering. He is doing really well but had some fluid and mucous in his lungs so they are keeping a close eye on him.

Here are some pictures.

Baby Conner!

Conner Vincent Pero was born at 7:47am on January 9th 2006.
He is 9lbs. 12 oz. He is 22 inches long.

Last Day

Here I am the last day before Conner is born. The ladies at the building (they've nicknamed themselves the Barton Grandmas) threw Harry and I a shower. It was a lot of fun and they are all so excited to see Conner.

So many gifts

We I was so overwhelmed at all the wonderful gifts. Conner has so many clothes! We ran out of room in his armoire! I can't think of a single thing that this little man could need. Except maybe sane parents.

Having fun at the shower

Having some fun at the shower. It is so funny to see teachers playing games. They tend not to read directions and cheat, cheat, cheat at shower games!

busy week

It has been a really busy week. Dr appointments Tuesday, Wednesday and the amnio today. The baby's lungs are mature so the c section on Monday is a go. YEAH!

Tomorrow is my last day of work. Never too far away, though. We have a shower from my friends at work tomorrow night. The 200 grandmas at the building are having one on Sunday. We will have so many knitted and crochetd little things.

Angie, Vonda and Beema are coming Sunday so they can go to the hospital with us. We haven't told them yet we have to be there at 5:30 am.

6 days and counting

6 days until the scheduled c section. I cannot believe I am letting another single person see this picture. I feel like one of those giant balloon floats from the Thanksgiving Day parade.

I have loved being pregnant. No morning sickness working right up until the end and feeling great.

Five years of waiting coming to an end.
